Re: Favorite Tribby Pictures

I like the pictures. I am looking for information about the Tribute and Escape. What are the other colors available on the Tribute? Mazda dealers have been without this book for months. I have ordered the Tribute brochure from Mazda but it has not come in yet.

Tribute Colors

The color list for tribute is listed over on the Mazda website www.mazda.com Not a very good site though.

Installing aftermarket radio

I am looking for instructions on how to remove the standard radio in my Tribute and replace it with a better on. The owners manual is not very clear on this. If anyone has done this please post, I have turned on the recieve e-mail reply option below. Thanks.

Re: Well here is mine!

Where did you get the dustless brake pads?

Posted by Mustang GT on 01-04-2002 03:46 AM:

PartsAmerica.com, or Advance Auto Parts

Part no. is PGD843M (Raybestos)

$49.99 + tax + shipping

They are not totaly "dustless", but about 90% better than the stock ones!

What about brakes overheating from these dust covers? I've heard that these things cause problems with that. Are yours vented?

No covers here. I got the dustless pads.

Thumbs up

Hey Mustang GT, where did you find those Highland BodyGuard splash guards? Do you know the model# if any?

Posted by Mustang GT on 02-09-2002 06:23 AM:

BodyGuard
Molded, contemporary styled splash guards for today's trucks, vans and SUVs. Universal fit and easy installation. Includes mounting hardware. Lifetime guarantee.

Number Item Color

10082 BodyGuard - plain Black
10083 BodyGuard - reflective Black
10084 BodyGuard - 4 x 4 Black

They are available at Advance Auto Parts or partsamerica.com as a "special parts request" (you can't order them on-line... you have to call on the phone). Note they are "universal" and need a bit of tweaking to fit the Tribute, especially the front ones. Nothing your average backyard mechanic can't handle.
