What's your acceleration RPM?

After getting my worst tank of gas yet, about 15.5 mpg, I want to know if I am accelerating much harder than most people, who seem to be getting much closer to the estimated mpg.

So, when accelerating from a stop, waht RPM do you hit?

Are you serious?

The RPM that my Escape shifts at varies according to a ton of factors.

There is no single mark that any Escape shifts at all the time while accelerating.

Zach, your in High School, of course your accelerating harder then most of the rest of us and burning up gas I doubt there is much you can do about except wait and grow old Of course we all punch it now and then.

Well said Cicindela.

BTW I like the new wheels. I've been shopping and have decided to stick with 16 x 7.5 too.

usually never higher than 3000.

This leads to 22-23 mpg on average with V6.

Why don't escapes have a "red line" on the Tach?

This is the first vehicle I have driven with a tach and no red line markings??????

Because it's an anachronism? If the computer won't let the engine go over y RPM, why have it? Yes, to see if you're getting close, but....

Im assuming you mean avg rpm (as sometimes we do accelerate quicker, & other times are not in such a rush)
