Too bad we couldn't get that "Hayate" version in the US!

Wow! Cool color. We don't get anything that interesting here in the U.S.

Re: Installing aftermarket radio

I am not sure how the stereo set up is in the Tribute, but in my escape, pulling out the stock stereo was fairly easy. On the Ford, there are four holes in the face of the stereo where you insert a tool(in my case, Best Buy inserted their tool). I watched them do it, and it seemed that 2 coat hangers would work just as well. You simply put the pronged tool in the holes, pinch, and pull out. As for the wiring process, I did not watch the whole installation, but you will probably have to buy the appropriate plugs for your new stereo and a piece of plastic that fits around so that the aftermarket deck can fit in the oversized hole. Sorry if my post had some innuendo.

****! I have been reading this board for what seems like years and this is the first time I have seen this thread.

Nice pics. I wonder if that Egzart front bumper would be a direct fit for American Tributes?

Arrow Japanese Tribute Parts Here

You can buy ANY Japanese parts that you want through
http://www.japaneseparts.com/ :g

The company is based in California and Ben, the Prez, will get anything you want. Having a web link to photos and/or Mazda part numbers is a big plus. Try surfing through some of the Asian/Australian Mazda web sites for photos of Tribute accessories: http://www.mazda.com/

Here are a few Japanese part numbers:

Chrome Mirror Covers - C100-V3-650
Chrome Front Grill Garnish - E112-V4-350
White (clear) Side Marker - B30K-V7-175
Chrome Side Marker Frames - C100-V3-770
Stainless Steel Door Scuff Plates - E112-V1-370
OEM Jap Trib Power Antenna - E112-66-A30

Of course everything is expensive and shipping is high. Prices vary depending on the US$/Yen exchange rate. The weaker the Yen the better your price. But, you will have your parts shipped to you direct from Japan in about 2 weeks.

I am little confused. Aren't all tributes and escapes made in US? So, why couldn't we get those Japanese parts here? In fact I live less than 10miles from the KC plant.
